Getting started
How do I open my private vault?
Use HiCalculator like a normal calculator in public. To enter your vault, use the passcode you created during setup and complete the unlock action shown in the app. Never share your passcode with anyone.
What can I use before upgrading to Pro?
The free experience lets you use the calculator and core vault features within its available limits. Pro expands limits and unlocks additional privacy, backup, and convenience features.
Where do I change my app settings?
Open the app’s Settings area to review security options, permissions, backup choices, and your Pro status. iPhone permission choices can also be changed at any time in iOS Settings.
Your vault
What can I keep in HiCalculator?
Use the vault to organize private photos and videos, notes, passwords, contacts, attachments, bookmarks, and private-browser information. Keep only content you are allowed to store and use.
What is Decoy Vault?
Decoy Vault is a Pro feature that provides a separate space accessed with its own decoy passcode. Set it up carefully and remember both passcodes; support cannot retrieve them for you.
How do private browsing and bookmarks work?
Private browsing opens websites you choose, while private bookmarks help you save links in the vault. Websites still handle their own cookies, network requests, and privacy practices.
Security & backup
Can support reset my vault passcode?
No. HiCalculator does not keep your vault passcode, decoy passcode, security answers, or backup password. There is no master key or reset service, so protect these credentials carefully.
How do I make a backup?
Pro users can create an encrypted backup from the backup area in Settings. Choose a strong backup password and keep it safe; you need that same password to restore the backup later.
Can I use iCloud for my encrypted backup?
Yes. You may choose to copy an encrypted backup to your personal iCloud account. The backup is encrypted on your iPhone first, and nothing is copied to iCloud until you enable or choose that option.
What should I do before changing or replacing my iPhone?
Create and verify a current encrypted backup, confirm that you know its password, then move or restore your data on the new device. Do not delete the app or reset the old device until you have verified the backup.
Pro & restore
How do I buy Pro?
Open the Pro upgrade screen in the app and choose an available subscription or one-time purchase. Apple presents the current price, billing terms, trial information if offered, and renewal terms before you confirm.
Can I restore Pro after reinstalling or moving to a new device?
Yes. Open the Pro screen and choose Restore Purchases. The App Store on that device must be signed in with the same Apple ID used for the original purchase.
Can I restore Pro with another Apple ID?
No. Pro purchases are associated with the Apple ID used to make the purchase. Billing, cancellation, refunds, and purchase records are managed by Apple through that Apple ID.
Still need help?
For an issue with the app, a backup, or a purchase, send support a clear description of what happened. Never include vault passcodes, backup passwords, security answers, encryption keys, or private vault content.
